On Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
It is typically the most well-attended Sunday service of the year for Christian churches.
Christians believe according to Scripture, that Jesus came back
to life, or was raised from the dead, three days after his death on the
cross.
As part of the Easter season, the death of Jesus Christ by
crucifixion, is commemorated on Good Friday which is
always the Friday just before Easter.
Through his death, burial and
resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for sin, thus purchasing for all
who believe in him, eternal life in Christ Jesus.

Easter baskets, eggs, toys, chocolates of all kinds, bunnies, bunnies with hats, bunnies in baskets, bunnies eating chocolate...
Easter egg hunts, Easter egg parties, a place for the kids to play and have fun....and that's OK AS LONG AS the children are somehow relating to the reason for the season which unfortunately is more often not the case and that is sad....How may parents and children do not celebrate the true meaning of Easter.

Have to admit that we still do the Easter basket thing with our kids, even though they range from thirty-two to forty-nine. But we just welcome an excuse to send them stuff.
