Fresh bread left out at room temp will not last a week....so here's what
to do.....

1. Do not use the stupid little twist tie that comes on the bread..use
clothes pins until about a fourth of the bread is gone then just
hold the top of the package and spin the bread around and around
until it gets very tight...then fold it under the bread..the weight of
loaf will keep it from unraveling....This will be more air tight than
the ties....
2. Keep the bread in the crisper section of the refrig..if not enough room in there at least on the bottom shelf....Now the trick here is when you use the bread...10 seconds in the microwave...gives soft tasty bread.
3. Don't wast time with counter top bread boxes...waste of money
and bread...
Use this approach and you like me can have a loaf of bread that will
keep for as long as 3 weeks..and taste fresh for that long....not hard
or stiff, or moldy.
